Tour of Toledo Edison's Bayshore Power Plant
Tour Toledo Edison’s Bayshore Power Plant, located along the shores of Lake Erie in Oregon, Ohio. The tour will begin at 6:30 p.m., and cover not only the "traditional" coal-fired units but also the new unit constructed as a joint venture between BP and FirstEnergy that was placed in service earlier this year. The new boiler is fueled with pet coke, a by-product of the petroleum refining process at the nearby BP facility. The tour promises to be very interesting and informative, with plenty of time for questions and discussion.
